Rippah Wah Manual

Vintage tone, modern toner the set it and forget it types!

The Rippah Wah is built around the legendary vintage Maestro Boomerang wah circuit, delivering classic tone with modern versatility. This pedal allows you to customize every key parameter to match your playing style while keeping your settings locked in place for live performances—no need to worry about accidental adjustments. Just set it and forget it!

Fine-Tune Your Wah Sound with Internal Trimmers:

Inside the Rippah Wah, you’ll find three trim pots (blue trimmers), adjustable with a small Flathead or Phillips screwdriver, giving you full control over your wah’s tonal shaping.

  • Growl Control: Adjusts the amount of bass and gain in the circuit. Maxed out by default for the stock setting, but can be turned down for a smoother, funkier feel.

  • Sweep Control: Alters the range and depth of the wah sweep. Widen the spectrum for a throaty, full-bodied sound or thin it out to focus on upper and mid-range frequencies.

  • Boost Control: Compensates for any volume drop when adjusting the Growl control. It also allows you to push the front end of a tube amp for enhanced presence in a mix. While not designed to overdrive a clean amp, it works exceptionally well with already overdriven tones, adding power and cut to your sound.

6-Position DIP Q Switch for Ultimate Tone Shaping:

The Rippah Wah includes a six-position DIP switch on the main board, allowing you to fine-tune the Q position of the wah. It ships with the stock setting (position one ON), but you can experiment with different configurations, from subtle tweaks to extreme tone shifts. With hundreds of possible combinations, you can dial in nearly any inductor-based wah sound imaginable.

Premium Features & Build Quality:

  • Fuzz-Friendly Output Buffer ensures seamless integration with fuzz and overdrive pedals, avoiding common impedance issues.

  • True Bypass Switching with a bright side-mounted LED prevents accidental activation.

  • Wilson Effects Vintage Taper Wah Pot, faithfully replicated from a vintage ICAR taper pot, delivers authentic sweep and response.

Power & Warranty:

The Rippah Wah operates on a standard 2.1mm center-negative power supply or a high-quality alkaline battery. Every pedal is hand-built in the U.S.A. and includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
