Rippah Booster Wah

A faithful reproduction the Maestro Boomerang wah with tons of tuning options
Vintage tone, modern tone and can replicate just about any wah tone!
Now available in two options, ICAR pot and Smooth Taper Pot. Most people do not realize that when ICAR pots were developed that the wah pedals that used these had a very limited physical sweep. This cause the pedal to have a majority of the Q transition at the toe end of the pedal. The smooth taper option allows the pedal to maintain a smoother transition through the sweep of the Q range. Some people prefer one or the other so I've decided to offer both options. Please click on your preference below.
The Rippah Q-Wah is designed for players who crave ultimate tonal flexibility, whether you prefer the vintage quack of a 1967 Clyde McCoy wah, the deep throaty tones of a Macari wah, or the synth-like depth of a modern wah. With easily accessible control knobs, dialing in your perfect wah tone is just a turn away.
Unlike standard wah circuits, the Rippah Booster Wah has a more pronounced throat and growl in the low end, making it ideal for cutting through a mix. If you prefer a smoother, more controlled sound, you can easily tame the growl by adjusting the controls. Offering nearly every wah tone imaginable, this pedal is a powerful tool both in the studio and on stage.
Key Features:
-
Sweep Control: Located at the front of the pedal, this adjusts the depth of the wah sweep. Maxing it out adds throatiness, while dialing it back softens the effect.
-
12-Position Q Switch: Allows you to shape the Q range, from deep, synth-like growls to sharp, envelope filter-like tones.
-
Growl Knob: Positioned at the heel, this control adjusts bass and gain response. Whether you want deep, resonant throatiness or a pronounced wah quack, the growl knob helps fine-tune your sound.
The Rippah Booster Wah comes standard with a built-in fuzz buffer, ensuring it works seamlessly with fuzz pedals. Inside, a small blue trimmer provides volume control, allowing you to set the output at unity gain or boost it for searing leads—though excessive boosting may amplify circuit or amp noise.
Premium Build Quality:
Hand-built in the U.S., the pedal features NOS Mullard Tropical Fish capacitors, carbon composition resistors, and BC109B transistors for rich, vintage tone. Equipped with True Bypass and a bright side-mounted LED, you’ll never accidentally leave your wah engaged. It also includes a Wilson Effects vintage taper wah pot, precisely modeled after a vintage ICAR taper pot for an authentic feel.
The Rippah Booster Wah operates on a standard 2.1mm center-negative power supply or a high-quality alkaline battery. Each pedal comes with a one-year warranty covering parts and labor. For any questions, feel free to reach out via the contact form on our website.
