Get your Froosh on!
$255.00
Modified to V1 specs and the stock potentiometer is replaced with my V1 replica potentiometer. An accurate reproduction of the WH10V1 potentiometer created by reverse engineering an actual V1 pot. These pots are also more durable than the stock V3 potentiometer.
As expected the first shipment of WH10V3's has sold out to those who were on the waitlist. If you still would like to reserve one from the next shipment that is due in early April please email me at wilsoneffects@wilsoneffects.com. Thanks to all of you for your support! - Kevin
Wilson Effects WH10V3 Mod – Restoring the Classic Sound
The Ibanez WH10V3 was intended as an update to the iconic WH-10 wah, but it missed the mark in capturing the original’s bright, punchy sweep. That’s where I come in—modifying the WH10V3 to correct its shortcomings and bring it closer to the beloved vintage tone.
Key Modifications & Improvements:
-
Restored Classic Sweep – The darker tone of the V3 is corrected via capacitor modifications, giving it the crisp sparkle and punchy funk of the original WH-10.
-
Adjustable Volume Control – The stock version has a fixed, excessive boost. I’ve replaced the oversized toggle switch with a dedicated volume control, so you can dial in the exact amount of boost you need—or remove it entirely!
-
True Bypass Conversion – While the stock buffered bypass is improved, most players don’t want their wah pedal acting as a buffer at the beginning of their chain. This mod makes the pedal true bypass for a cleaner signal path when disengaged.
-
Limited Availability – These modded units are only available in select shops and in limited quantities.
A WH-10 That Finally Gets It Right
With these mods, the WH10V3 finally sounds and feels like the original while adding modern flexibility.
