The Wilson Wah builds upon the classic vintage wah circuit with thoughtful modifications that enhance bass response at the input, creating a thick, full-bodied sound. A standout feature is the Growl Control, which adds a scratchy, throat-like texture or can be dialed back for a smoother tone. Combined with other on-the-fly adjustments, this wah offers a level of flexibility that sets it apart from traditional designs. Straight out of the box, it delivers a fat, spongy tone, with the ability to fine-tune a wide range of wah sounds.

External Controls:

• Sweep Range: Adjusts the depth of the sweep. Fully clockwise maximizes the effect, while fully counterclockwise minimizes it.

• Q Selector Switch: A 12-position switch that fine-tunes the wah’s tonal character, from dark and warm (clockwise) to bright and sharp (counterclockwise).

• Growl: Shapes the bass and gain response. Turning it clockwise thins out the tone (excessive thinning may lower volume), while counterclockwise settings produce a thicker, darker sound.

Internal Adjustments:

Inside, two blue trimmer controls offer further customization:

• Top Trimmer: Adjusts the midrange response.

• Bottom Trimmer: Controls the overall volume output.
